Welcome

OVERVIEW

The City is developing the new Armstrong Creek West Community Hub at 110-122 Unity Drive, Mount Duneed. The hub has been designed to provide local early years services, including kindergarten, Maternal and Child Health, playgroups and other community use. Construction is underway and the hub is due to be open in early 2023.

The hub is a vital piece of social infrastructure designed to foster strong community ties in one of Victoria’s fastest growing areas. Located adjacent to Mirripoa Primary School, Club Armstrong, Mount Duneed Makers Shed and the recreation reserve, it is designed to be a flexible and adaptable place that brings community together and where important services can be accessed.

The City is undertaking two processes at this time to ensure the hub is operational from 2023:

  1. We are looking for a suitability qualified provider to facilitate the operation of the hub. This is through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process RFP has now closed and proposals are currently being evaluated (CLOSED 2pm Wednesday 6 April).
  2. Provide the community the opportunity to comment on the City's intention to enter into a lease with the successful respondent of the RFP by Monday 25 April (see submission process below).

We are also calling for community members to:

  • Register interest in accessing community spaces at the Hub in 2023.
  • Register interest to attend kindergarten at the Hub in 2023.

This information will be provided to the the successful respondent of the RFP.
