Update - November 2021

At the Council meeting of 23 November 2021, Council resolved to proceed with entering into a lease for the Geelong Resource Recovery Centre.


Overview

A contract for the operation and management of the Geelong Resource Recovery Centre was recently awarded to GDP Industries Limited (ABN 96 004 811 116) for a term of 5 years.

To authorise the continued occupation of the Geelong Resource Recovery Centre at 100 Douro Street, North Geelong 3215, comprising approximately 8,534m² as outlined in blue on the plan below and contained in Certificate of Title Volume 10147 Folio 138, it is proposed that the City enters into a new lease with GDP Industries Limited for a term of five years (Contract C2100080).

Submissions Process

In accordance with section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 and the City’s Community Engagement Policy, submissions are invited on the proposed lease of 100 Douro Street, North Geelong VIC 3215. Any person may make a submission to the Council. All submissions will be considered.

If any person wishes to be heard in support of their submission, they must include a request to be heard in their written submission. This will entitle them to appear either personally or by a person acting on their behalf, before a Submissions Review Panel. The date, time and location of the panel hearing will be advised. Submitters should note that submissions are made available for public inspection upon request.
