The City recently re-sheeted the roads listed below (excluding *) as part of our maintenance program as the road surface had deteriorated.

  • Fisher Street*
  • Harding Street
  • Petz Lane
  • Welfare Street
  • Franzel Ave*
  • High Street
  • San Diego Avenue
  • Willis Street
  • Geelong Road (part)*
  • Langdon Street
  • Stewart Grove

  • Goodwill Street
  • Park Street
  • Traum Street

Prior to and since the re sheeting took place, we have received requests to seal all of the above roads in Portarlington:

Before we proceed any further, we would like to understand the level of support for the sealing of these roads, including kerb and channel. It is likely that this type of road sealing would be done as part of our Special Rates and Charge scheme process.

While we can only provide accurate figures after a detailed design is complete, our early estimate is that property owners would be required to contribute about $10,000 to the project. It would also take up to five years to complete the works.

If supported, this road construction will be investigated in the 2022/23 financial year.

Please note that this survey closes at 5pm on Friday 16 September 2022.
