Welcome

UPDATE - 24 June 2021

An allocation of $400,000 in the Budget 2021-22, adopted at the June Council meeting, has made the opening during the traditional ‘off season’ from May to September possible.

The decision follows two successful winter season extensions in 2020 and 2021, along with community feedback submitted through a survey earlier this year.

UPDATE - 17 March 2021

This consultation is now closed for feedback review and evaluation. An update will be posted here shortly.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking feedback on the potential use of Kardinia Aquatic Centre throughout the year.

During 2020, the facility was opened under COVID-19 restrictions for an additional three months (June, July & August). During this period, about 1,000 swimmers accessed the pool for a total of 5,742 visits.

Before making a decision to open over future 'off seasons', the City wants to understand the expected interest and gauge the views of residents.
