The draft concept plan proposes several changes intended to benefit casual park users and the general community:

local playground replaced with a larger district level playground with toilets, shelter, BBQs, and lawn area with additional trees;

new plaza to provide a community gathering place for use before stadium events or for standalone events;

tree planting and the return of water to create a greener, more appealing parkland to gather and spend time;

community access to the indoor multi-purpose facility; and

food and beverage outlets, hotel and other uses in the south-east corner of the park to support and add to the experience during stadium events.
