OVERVIEW

The City of Greater Geelong (City) intends to enter into a lease with Powercor Australia Limited (Powercor) to install a power substation at North Bellarine Aquatic Centre. The substation would provide power for the new aquatic facility located at the Drysdale Sporting Precinct, 820 Grubb Road, Drysdale. The proposed lease is for 30 years, with a further extension for 20 years.

In accordance with section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 and the City’s Community Engagement Policy, submissions are invited on the proposed lease of part of 820 Grubb Road, Drysdale. Any person may make a submission to the Council. All submissions will be considered.

If any person wishes to be heard in support of their written submission, they must state this as part of their submission below. This will entitle them to appear either personally or by a person acting on their behalf, before a Submissions Review Panel. The date, time and location will be advised. Submitters should note that submissions are made available for public inspection upon request.
