Welcome

The New Station Estate, located at Broderick Road in Corio, is an historic, and now deemed inappropriate, subdivision dating back to the 1930s (LP13379) which was never developed and the roads were never constructed.

The New Station Estate Restructure Plan 2010 (Amended 2017) applies to the land and establishes the principles for the redevelopment of the land. The Plan also included a new road layout.

The Greater Geelong City Council, acting in accordance with section 207A, section 207B and Clause 3 of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989, proposes to discontinue several road reserves (shaded purple on the map below) in the New Station Estate, Broderick Road, Corio.

If the roads are discontinued, the land will be 'vest fee simple' in the Council (meaning the title will become freehold titled land with no conditions) and will then be included in the redevelopment of the land for use as industrial sized lots which will support further development and employment opportunities in the Geelong Ring Road Employment Precinct (GREP).

The land will also be used for the construction of new roads and a drainage basin.

Any privately owned land within the estate will be provided legal access.
