OVERVIEW

At the 14 December 2021 Council meeting, the Council authorised the City to enter into a lease with Powercor Australia Limited.


The City of Greater Geelong (City) intends to enter into a lease with Powercor Australia Limited (Powercor) to install a power substation at 110-122 Unity Drive, Mount Duneed. The substation would provide power for the Armstrong Creek West Community Hub development. The proposed lease is for 30 years, with a further extension for 20 years.

SUBMISSIONS PROCESS

In accordance with section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 and the City’s Community Engagement Policy, submissions are invited on the proposed lease of part of 110-122 Unity Drive, Mount Duneed. Any person may make a submission to the Council. All submissions will be considered.

If any person wishes to be heard in support of their submission, they must include in their request to be heard in the written submission. This will entitle them to appear either personally or by a person acting on their behalf, before a Submissions Review Panel. The date, time and location will be advised. Submitters should note that submissions are made available for public inspection upon request.
