At the 22 February Council meeting, Council approved the sale of land abutting 17Rosemont Cres, Bell Post Hill.

Documents will be prepared to complete the sale of the land.

The proposed sale of land is Lot 1 on TP196009 - an historic road reserve which was discontinued by the Shire of Corio. At the time of discontinuance, most of the road reserves were sold and transferred to abutting property owners. This parcel of land was not.

The garage, driveway and garden for the property at 17 Rosemont Crescent, Bell Post Hill were constructed on the land by a previous owner.

The current occupier has contacted the City with an expression of interest to enter negotiations to purchase the land.

In accordance with Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020, community engagement is required and this provides the community the opportunity to give its feedback on the proposed sale.

Submissions Process

In accordance with section 114 of the Local Government Act 1989 and Council's Community Engagement Policy, submissions are invited on the proposed sale of Lot 1 on TP196009, located in Rosemont Crescent, Bell Post Hill. Any person may make a submission to the Council. All submissions will be considered.

If any person wishes to be heard in support of their submission, they must include a request to be heard in their written submission. This will entitle them to appear, either personally or by a person acting on their behalf, before a Submissions Review Panel. The date, time and location will be advised.

Submissions on this matter must be received by 3 January 2022.
