Every year, the City’s compost facility in Anakie turns 35,000 tonnes of garden waste from Greater Geelong’s garden bins into quality compost currently used in the region’s parks, gardens and farms.

Diverting garden waste from landfill to create compost is an important part of the City’s circular economy actions. Our compost has been used by local farms for years, but we’re now trialling a wider distribution – that’s where you come in!
