Update
At its ordinary meeting on Tuesday 24 February 2026, Council resolved its intention to declare a Special Charge scheme to seal Newcombe Street, Drysdale from Waterway Court to No. 60 Newcombe Street.
A public notice was advertised in The Times newspaper on Friday 6 March 2026. A copy has been sent to you in the mail and you can also find a copy here.
The distribution of charges between property owners has been based on an equal share for the proposed scheme based on all property owners needing to equally share the use of the road to access their property as well as the amenity benefit from significantly reducing the level of dust generated from the unsealed material.
As indicated in the public notice, you may make a submission, or objection regarding the scheme. Legislation determines that you must do this within 28 days of the public notice. Submissions and objections will be received up until 5pm Friday 10 April 2026. Council has a submissions review panel constituted for the purpose of considering submissions. You may elect to address the panel; however, you must indicate your intention to do this, in your submission.
Submissions or objections can be submitted in either of the following ways:
