Nature Faces self-portrait competition

For our Nature Faces self-portrait competition, children under eight years of age were encouraged to head outdoors with their families to connect with nature and make a self-portrait from fallen leaves, branches and feathers.

The children were invited to submit a photo of their nature self-portrait along with a brief description, and we received 22 very creative entries.

Originally the Deputy Mayor, Trent Sullivan, was going to select his favourite 20 photos, but it was too difficult to eliminate two!

All entries are now available for the community to vote for their favourite. Choose your top photo based on the individuality, authenticity and connection with nature and give it your vote!

Our winner - Owen

Congratulations to Owen, aged 3 from Leopold, who has won our 'Nature Faces' competition.

Owen entered his face with the description "I have a crab claw nose and seaweed hair" and he received the most votes by the community. Well done Owen!

Congratulations to all of the children who participated. All the nature faces submitted were absolutely awesome. Such a creative community.
