Welcome
Construction is underway on the new Tarratarra Stadium (formerly Armstrong Creek Sports Centre) on the City's land at 7 Stadium Street, Armstrong Creek VIC 3217. This project is part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.
Delivered by Development Victoria on behalf of Sport and Recreation Victoria, the new multi-sport facility will cater to the growing Armstrong Creek community, creating more opportunities for participation, connection and recreation. A section of Mindil Street has been constructed as part of the project, to provide public access to Tarratarra Stadium.
The City of Greater Geelong gives notice of its intention to declare the constructed section of road, being the land shown in hatching on the plan below marked as Road R-1 being part of Mindil Street, Armstrong Creek (approximately 2,628 m2), as a public highway under section 204(1) of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act).
Submission details
We invite community submissions on the proposed public road declaration of part of Mindil Street, Armstrong Creek. All submissions will be considered.
If any person wishes to be heard in support of their submission, they must include their request to be heard in the written submission. This will entitle them to appear either personally, or by a person acting on their behalf, before a Submissions Review Panel. The date, time and location of the panel hearing will be advised.
Your submission should be received by 5.00pm on Friday 24 July 2026.

All submissions will be considered public documents unless specified otherwise by the submitter. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.
