The City of Greater Geelong, acting in accordance with section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 and the City's Community Engagement Policy, is seeking community feedback on the acquisition of a carriageway easement across part of 43-45 Fenwick St, Portarlington. Known as Certificate of Title volume 9369 folio 705, CA 15 Section 1B Township of Portarlington Parish of Bellarine and noted as the servient land on the plan below.
The City has been approached from the landowner of 62 Newcombe St, Portarlington, known as the dominant land wanting to acquire a carriageway easement over City owned land at 43-45 Fenwick Street, Portarlington.
The proposed carriageway easement will have a land area of 225m2, subject to survey.
There are existing carriageway easements on the City’s land benefiting the land at 39-41 Fenwick Street and 72-74 Newcombe Street, Portarlington.
At the completion of the 4-week community engagement period, a council report will be prepared seeking a Council decision to grant the carriageway easement.
Submission details
We invite community feedback on the proposed grant of an easement. The Council will consider all submissions. Should the Council decide to proceed, the easement will be granted and registered on the City's land.
