The City of Greater Geelong, acting in accordance with section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 and the City's Community Engagement Policy, is seeking community feedback on a proposal to sell the land located at 11a McHarry Court, Corio known as Certificate of Title volume 12586 folio 450, Lot B on Plan PS920591S and outlined blue on the plan below. The land has an area of 1,588m2.
The Council resolved to sell the land adjoining the eastern boundary and it is proposed that 11a McHarry Court will be offered for sale together with it. This provides an opportunity for the landlocked property to be developed along with the larger parcel and deliver on the City's strategic intent to provide new housing opportunities in Corio. Development plans will include maintaining pedestrian access to the adjoining residential estates and the nearby Rosewall Community Centre and Connections Park West.
Submission details
We invite community feedback on the proposed sale of this land. The Council will consider all submissions. Should the Council decide to proceed, the land will be offered for sale through a public process. Please note: we are not accepting purchase or development offers at this stage.
