Welcome

The City of Greater Geelong, acting in accordance with section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 and the City's Community Engagement Policy, is seeking community feedback on a proposal to sell the land at 48-58 Barton Street, Bell Park known as Certificate of Title volume 11879 folio 920, TP 952020V, and outlined yellow on the plan below.

The land was originally acquired for a proposed consolidated early years hub, intended to replace several existing standalone facilities. However, current State policy now recommends that kindergartens be located near primary schools to support convenient single drop-off points for families. As the existing City facilities already align with this policy direction, the construction of the new hub will not proceed.

The land measures approximately 10,230m², is zoned for residential use and is considered surplus to the City's requirements.
