Update - January 2022

After receiving feedback from the property owner of the land where the subdivision is occurring, the roads no longer require naming due to there being no public access to these unnamed roadways.

OVERVIEW

A sub-divisional development requires four unnamed government roads in Anakie to be named.

The Naming Rules for Places in Victoria outline that when naming roads, names must have a link to the place.

Based on farming activities that occur in close proximity to these roadways, the theme of chicken breeds has been suggested by the developer.

The proposed names are:

  • Australorp Road;
  • Welsummer Road;
  • Faverolles Road; and
  • Fizzle Road.

Submissions regarding these proposed names must be received by 5pm Monday 6 December 2021.
