Background
The City of Greater Geelong is proposing to rename Glenleith Court in Geelong to reduce confusion with the nearby Glenleith Avenue. The new name chosen for this section of roadway is Strickland Way, Geelong.
This name has been chosen in honour of Matron Ethel Strickland who was born in Geelong and served during World War 1. Members of Ms Strickland’s family are encouraged to submit a response regarding this naming.
This road renaming is being completed in accordance with the Naming Rules for Places in Victoria, by linking the name to a place.
Submissions in regards to this proposed naming closed at 5pm Saturday 17 December, 2022.
