BACKGROUND

Earlier this year, the City of Greater Geelong proposed to name the roadway that deviates south-east from Liverpool Street into Rippleside Park, Rippleside to Shipyard Place, Rippleside.

Based on community feedback, the City is now proposing this section of roadway be named Yacht Approach, Rippleside. This name has been chosen due to the roadway leading to Rippleside Marina.

This road renaming is being completed in accordance with the Naming Rules for Places in Victoria, by linking the name to place.

Submissions in regards to this proposed naming closed at 5pm 13 June 2022.
