The City is considering adjustments to the planned footpath in Sunset Strip (Northbound)

Due to above standard steep driveways along the northbound carriageway of Sunset Strip between properties 14 and 78, a footpath will need to be constructed in front of the kerb. This adjustment will result in the removal of all available on-street parking along this section of road.

To enhance pedestrian safety, a 1.5-metre separation block will be added within the current roadway to provide a clear boundary between vehicles and pedestrians. Vehicular traffic flow will remain unaffected by these changes.

We understand this proposed change may impact your daily routines, and we are committed to gathering feedback from all affected property owners. We invite you to share your opinions on this design concept within the next 42 days. Should you have any concerns or wish to formally object, please submit your feedback by 5:00pm on Wednesday 22 January 2025.

We recognise that this proposal may raise concerns about parking and access. If residents prefer to maintain on-street parking, we wish to assure you that an alternative footpath is planned along the southbound side of the road, providing pedestrian access even if the northbound footpath does not proceed.
