The City has received multiple requests for traffic calming in Warrawee Road, Leopold over the past five years. We have been monitoring speed and volume levels and implementing minor treatments such as speed zone signage and line marking.
Data indicates speeding is still an issue along Warrawee Road, Leopold.
In order to reduce overall traffic speed through this residential we would like to hear from residents if they wish for speed humps to be installed in Warrawee Road, Leopold.
The below map shows the proposed location of x 5 speed humps.
Speed humps also need to be located close to power poles for night-time lighting and be spaced at approximately equal distances. Please note parking is allowed on speed humps.
The installation of speed humps will require the support of the majority of residents in this street (more than 50%).
If supported, construction will occur before the end of this financial year (2024/2025).
