Take our short survey to provide your input into the Draft Moorpanyl Park Master Plan.
We recommend exploring the Draft Master Plan for a few minutes before completing the survey.
The final master plan for Moorpanyal Park was approved by Council on Tuesday 25 June, 2024.
The success of the plan is largely due to the level of community input, sharing their aspirations for the park, to ensure it meets the communities needs.
The final master plan can be found here, in the document library section of this page, or view the digital version below.
We are pleased to advise that funding for this project has been included in our Council’s proposed 2024-25 to 2027-28 budget.
The budget, which was released for feedback during the Council’s 23 April meeting, lists funding of $600,000 for improvements to Moorpanyal Park, in line with the master plan.
We encourage you to visit the Proposed 2024-25 to 2027-28 Budget Have Your Say page and provide feedback on the budget. The engagement period closes at 5pm on 22 May.
A final budget will be endorsed during the Council’s June meeting, once all feedback has been considered.
Moorpanyal Park is a district level park located in North Shore. The park (5.7 hectare coastal reserve) is located to the north of Corio Quay which is now the new home of the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry.
As part of Council's commitment to improve its open spaces, we have developed a draft Master Plan for Moorpanyal Park to help guide the long-term development for the site.
The project was identified and the Master Plan funded by Council in the 2021/2022 budget. The Master Plan will identify improvements for the existing reserve to reflect it being a district level park.
The draft Moorpanyal Park Master Plan has been prepared following extensive review of existing conditions and key stakeholder consultation. We are now seeking the broader communities input into the future of Moorpanyal Park. Your feedback will help inform the Final Master Plan.
This project will deliver a Master Plan to guide the future development and use of Moorpanyal Park. Moorpanyal Park is a district level reserve located at 22 The Esplanade, North Shore.
We are seeking your thoughts on the draft Master Plan which was created with input from the North Shore Residents Association and other key stakeholders.
Your feedback is a vital part of our planning. It helps us make decisions to ensure we have a thorough understanding of the communities needs and priorities.
We want to make Moorpanyal Park a gathering place for all community members to enjoy!
