Have your say on our new flood study for north Bellarine

Significant urban development in northern townships of the Bellarine Peninsula has led to a new flood study in the growth area.

The Clifton Springs and Drysdale Flood Study will help the City and relevant authorities to better understand the flood risks and stormwater management opportunities in the region. The study area includes Curlewis, Clifton Springs, Drysdale and Bellarine.

We are asking residents and business and property owners to locate their areas of interest on the map below, view the information and share experiences of flooding.

This valuable information will support future planning for land use, community flood preparedness and emergency response in the catchment area.

Preliminary 1% Annual Exceedance Probability (AEP) Flood Extent

The preliminary 1% AEP flood extent has been developed by our consultant (Cardno) using the current best practices for hydrologic and hydraulic modelling. It is a draft flood extent based on preliminary data, excluding details of the Drysdale Bypass at this stage. The preliminary 1% AEP flood extent is presented for the purposes of providing an indication of the flood risk profile and to enable the community an opportunity to have input to the study.
