Thank you for your interest in the Domestic Animal Management Plan.

From 10 March to 20 April, the City held a 6-week community engagement where we asked the community to have their say regarding the Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP).

Feedback received through this online survey, and through face-to-face (F2F) consultations provided the City with helpful insight into what our community wanted and needed regarding the presence and care of cats and dogs in our community.

What happens next?

We’re currently reviewing and analysing the feedback received. Key findings and themes will be summarised in the DAMP 2026-29 Engagement Report.

This report will help shape the objectives and actions in the draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2026 – 2029, which will be presented to Council for endorsement before being submitted to the Victorian Government.
