HIVE Updates
Notification of Upcoming Changes
Scheduled for Thursday 15th December AEST | Wednesday 14th December Pacific
This week we are releasing new updates to our Form tool to enable survey logic between sections. This logic will allow you to change the Form behaviour or modify the Form content based on respondents' answers.
Stay tuned for the upcoming blog and Learning Centre content. If you have any urgent concerns regarding these changes, please get in touch with our team via the support ticket mechanism.
The Fund It tool is one the HIVE's most popular engagement tools and enables you to present your users with options and trade-offs via a budget of points or currency. We are pleased to announce a Variable Funding Mode and Display Mode for our Fund It tool.
The HiVE's newest multi-language integration tool empowering engagement teams and communities with translations powered by machine learning. This includes the ability to manage, edit, review and curate translations to ensure common phrases and culturally-relevant translations are effectively communicated to your communities.

HIVE have updated the design of The HiVE's user interface to give a clean and contemporary look. The new changes provide a refreshing update to the platform's toolbar, panels, and dashboard pages. The changes are mostly cosmetic, but there are a few things to note.

The following icons can now be added to your HYS project page or sub page: -

We have been advised by HIVE that Microsoft is pulling the plug on Internet Explorer (IE) and the legacy version of Microsoft Edge. Microsoft intends to entirely phase these browsers out by August 2021, after which I.E.will no longer receive support, security patches, or updates.
For this reason, The HiVE will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 as of 17 August 2021. We will also remove support for older versions of other browsers at this time.
After this date, Internet Explorer users (both public and internal) can still visit your site but may encounter compatibility issues when viewing some content or using certain features. These compatibility issues will likely increase over time as we add new services to The HiVE that utilise emerging technologies.
So what does this mean for us - "if" any one still in community using I.E., direct them to select Google Chrome. Our I.T. department have advised - Pretty standard as Microsoft will de-support Internet Explorer (IE) in June 2022.

Our Updates
We have moved to a single sign on approach to be in alignment with other City software, with the HYS platform now accessed via your City login details - your current HYS password is no longer required.
What does this mean? Just that all you have to do now is visits www.yoursay.geeelongaustralia.com.au click the ‘Login’ button (1) on the home page, then ‘Staff Login’ button (2) on the popup and you should be directly logged in, nothing further required. (see screenshot below). No need to enter email address or password.

We now also have an updates section on our HYS landing page. This section is located between the Open and Ongoing projects and is applicable to all projects (open, active and closed).
Updates are a simple but powerful way to let our community know what’s happening on your projects. Keeping them involved along the way helps build buy in and trust.
We recommend including an image “This is where and how your updates will display!”

Check it out, and consider doing an update on your page when you are ready to start the next stage of your engagement, advertising upcoming workshops, presenting findings or just letting your audience know of anything relevant to your project.
The Engagement team is here to help you with your updates.
