Under this theme, the following priority areas for action have been identified:

• Older people are valued and acknowledged for their past, present and future contributions;
• The diverse experiences and views of older people are actively sought and supported to inform the development, implementation and monitoring of Council’s activities;
• Older people are depicted positively and without stereotyping in communications and media.
• A range of flexible opportunities for older people to use and share their skills and expertise is promoted (e.g. mentoring, volunteering and learning opportunities); and
• The value of older employees is embraced and celebrated.
