The playspace will be 3,869m2.

It will be larger than the existing playspace but will still only account for 5% of the total park area of Rippleside Park. There will still be plenty of grass space for informal uses.

The new fence line will extend the footprint of the existing playspace.

The playspace will be fenced. Fencing is vital for inclusive play and one of the most requested playground features.

The fenced area will include equipment for play, shelters, spaces for picnics, barbecues, lawn areas and landscaping.

The existing toilet block will be replaced. The new toilet block will include accessible toilets including a Changing Places facility. Child sized pans will also be provided.

The existing car parking will be retained.

Currently there are 129 car parking bays within the park. No green space area within the park will be removed to provide additional car parking.

Additional accessible (disabled) car parking bays will be provided in close proximity to the playspace entrance and toilet block.

A walking path will link the playspace to the Bay Trail.

Additional seating and picnic tables on the outside of the playspace fence line will be installed.

Additional trees will be planted.
