Procurement Policy endorsed by Council

The procurement policy was endorsed by the City of Greater Geelong Council at a meeting held on the 14 December 2021 and comes into effect 1 January, 2022.

A new policy guiding how the City of Greater Geelong procures goods, works and services has strengthened the Council’s commitment to achieving positive social outcomes.

The updated Procurement Policy, endorsed by the Council, also includes weighting to encourage the use of local suppliers. And it confirms sustainability, innovation and collaboration as further key considerations in the procurement process.
