The City of Greater Geelong would like to inform residents that your household may receive a call from an independent market research agency, National Field Services during 2026. They have been commissioned to conduct a community satisfaction survey on behalf of the council.

Similar surveys will be undertaken across Victorian councils. The survey has been designed to assess the performance of the City of Greater Geelong across a range of measures to identify ways to provide improvement or more effective service delivery to residents. The survey will involve 500 interviews conducted among a representative sample of residents.

The interviews are conducted as part of a series of three surveys across the year, with the first survey completed on 15 March, 2026. Dates for the next survey will be posted on this page once they become available.

To help you further identify that the call for the Community Satisfaction Survey below is for the City of Greater Geelong, please note:

  • The caller will identify as National Field Services and introduce themselves by name (e.g. Mark from National Field Services)
  • You will not be asked for by name (National Field Services callers do not have names).
  • You will only be asked for two pieces of personal detail; your age and gender. This is to ensure we are hearing from all sections of our community.
  • You will not be asked about income, or for your name or address.
  • You will always be told how long the survey is expected to take (no longer than 12 minutes).
  • Calls will come from a number with the prefixes: (03) 5202, (03) 5141 or (03) 4217. This may change over time, but we will not call from a mobile number.
  • Calls will only be made between 4.30pm – 8:30pm on a weekday, between 9.30am – 5pm on a Saturday and 10am – 5pm on a Sunday.
