Welcome

From time to time you may receive a call from market research agency National Field Services, who conduct a community satisfaction survey for us four times a year.

All responses and details remain confidential and are not shared with the City – we only see the overall results.

Background

The Victorian Government undertakes a survey on behalf of local councils to measure the community’s perception of our performance over 12 months.

Our Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey occurs quarterly and involves a total of 600 telephone interviews, conducted by an independent research agency.

The next quarter surveys will be conducted during 30 May – June 30, 2024.

If you receive a phone call, we encourage you to take this opportunity to provide your feedback on how we’re performing.

If you have any questions, please contact us or go to the statewide survey.

Summaries from previous years survey can be found here.

Please note

To help you further identify that the call is for the City of Greater Geelong, please note:

  • The caller will identify as National Field Services and introduce themselves by name (e.g. Mark from National Field Services)
  • You will not be asked for by name (National Field Services callers do not have names).
  • You will only be asked for two pieces of personal detail; your age and gender. This is to ensure we are hearing from all sections of our community.
  • You will not be asked about income, or for your name or address.
  • You will always be told how long the survey is expected to take (no longer than 15 minutes).
  • Calls will come from a number with the prefix: (03) 9977. This may change over time but we will definitely not call from a mobile number.
  • Calls will only be made between 9am – 8:30pm on a weekday or between 9am or 5pm on a weekend.
The next round of surveys is scheduled for 30 May – June 30, 2024. If you receive a phone call from National Field Services, we encourage you to take this opportunity to provide your feedback.
