If you haven’t done so already, now is the time to think about the comms and marketing support you need for your engagement.

Refer to your engagement plan if you have one. It’s not too late to develop an engagement plan if you haven’t done so already.

Find out more about the promotional opportunities and expectations here.

PROCESS

The Community Engagement Team will organise an ‘inception’ meeting with you, an officer from Comms, Marketing and Social Media teams to work through potential opportunities ahead of your live date. A great time to raise any red flags that they should be aware of.

Please register your project with the Comms and Marketing teams using the links below, either before the meeting or as soon as possible.
You don’t need to have the full project scope at this stage, early registration helps ensure your project is added to their planning schedule. A minimum of 3 weeks’ notice is required.

Social Media

Do you want to promote your engagement on social media? Review this social media checklist and then contact Mitchel Dye, Senior Communications officer – Social Media.

Marketing & Advertising

Consider what supporting material you will provide to assist community members and stakeholders to make a meaningful contribution to this engagement. Also think about how you will promote the engagement (e.g. advertising, letterbox drop/mailout, posters/flyers/postcards).

Complete the Marketing requests form ASAP as for most requests there is a minimum lead time of three weeks.

Something to note – if doing a site on site – community members have requested a contact number on sign in case they don’t want to use QR code or go online.
